Harris as Fire Chief, effective June
18, 2026.
•Harris has served as Interim Fire
Chief since January 2026.
•Randy is a trusted, experienced
fire service leader with more than
30 years of service in SLO County.

Building Safety Month is an international campaign celebrated in May to raise
awareness about building safety.
For 46 years, Building Safety Month has reinforced the need for the adoption of
modern, regularly-updated building codes, and helps communities understand
what it takes to create safe and sustainable structures.
