Thank you One Team!
...maybe we can talk about the library conference room...?
I'd be thrilled to lend any help that I can to ADA inclusion into the DEI Strategic Plan.
Usually Indy, my service dog, gets afternoon time at the park, so on meeting days my
husband, will likely be taking him there. That said, I do expect that the pup will be with me at
meetings and events from time to time. Thank you for welcoming us both!
I appreciate all of your collaboration.

One Team is our moto, and we are looking at moving more of our events to the Library
Conference room. Plus we are going to look at including a broader scope of ADA into our
DEI Strategic Plan update!
Wanted to mention that you are more than welcome to bring your adorable service dog to
HRC or any other meetings. Please let us know how we might be able to help with that
too. And I did not get their name?

Matt,
Thank you for reaching out and for your apology.
That said, the struggle for me and others is real. If had not come with me, I likely
would have stood at the back and leaned against the wall. A decision that would have
caused my legs to become stiff and painful.
It's just discouraging that so many places are not truly accessible and don't offer a variety
of options for the variety of people that might enter the space.
Thank you for letting me share-the more people who understand this, the more spaces will
be welcoming and help people to feel that they belong.
Best to you both!

I wanted to send over an email apologizing fo not brining the chair we said we would to
the event this evening. We are really sorry about that and missed the mark on that.
Thank you for showing up and being part of the first of many Belonging Project events!
Again, truly sorry for not having the chair there as promised!
