Subject:Overlay Zone legalizing fraternities or sororities in residential neighborhoods
I am writing to strongly oppose any overlay zone that would legalize fraternities or sororities in residential
neighborhoods. I live near campus and I can tell you from personal experience that this is a VERY BAD IDEA. My
family has had to deal with loud noises/parties, underage drunk students, public urination, yelling in the middle of
the night, reduced street parking availability, etc with college rental students nearby. The problems abound and
their lifestyle choices are not conducive to neighbors raising young children. Working families and senior citizens
urge you NOT to approve the overlay zone.
