My ex-husband and both children graduated from Cal Poly. The neighborhood has changed from a quiet family residential neighborhood to one filled with ADAs and mini-dorms of 6 or more students with an equal number of vehicles. I can’t afford to move and I do love my house. The student parties are kept under control only by the fear of neighbors calling the SLOPD Noisy Party number. If police are instructed to deprioritize these calls, the parties will get out of hand. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure as shown by Cal Poly’s St. Paddy’s Day increased responsibility. If more space is needed for fraternities, I suggest that Cal Poly take more responsibility and create a fraternity row on their own property. Why should this be a responsibility of the residents and city to form a fraternity district? Thank you. Linda White 2077 Slack St. San Luis Obispo 1
