You are correct mister Adams. You do not need to pay this 100 dollar citation you received. You
advising your tenants is much appreciated. Have a great day.

Thank you very much Mr Salem. I just received in the mail another citation but with a corrected
address under a cover letter dated Jan 7th. If I understand your email correctly, I do not need to
pay this $100 citation. Is that correct?
Please note that I have not leased this property to a fraternity and thus there is nothing in the
lease document allowing or prohibiting this kind of activity.
But I now understand the issue and will advise my tenants about it and request they comply.

Good morning, mister Adams,
After discussing the case with my supervisor J. Mezzapesa, he has directed me
to void the notice of violation and the administrative citation due to the clerical
errors you have pointed out. However, we believe that the evidence collected in
September of 2025 clearly shows that a fraternity operated at your property at
281 Albert. This is a violation of our municipal code, and we will be issuing a
new Notice of Violation to document the violation. Please find the attached
screen shots of a social media post advertising an event at the subject address
and an inspection photo taken by one of our officers showing individuals
leaving 281 Albert shortly after 1 PM. These individuals are wearing name tags
indicating that they are prospective pledges as part of the RUSH events. A new
notice will be prepared and mailed in the coming week. At this time we are not
issuing any citations, however, repeat violations will result in new fines being
issued.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Good morning, I received this on the 6th! It is amongst the ones that received a ten-day
extension, to file for an appeal from (01/07/2025). I corrected the physical address (280
Albert) on the citation before posting yesterday (01/07/2025) at the property. The invoice
and notice of violation were originally sent to an inactive/retired contact address in the case
on Energov. However, the citation has the correct UpToDate property owner address.
Sincerely,
Rami Salem

Subject: Notice of Violation
Please see the attachments below. I just received this Notice of Violation sand other forms together
with an invoice for $100.
I object to the fine and think it should be waived for all the reasons set forth in my Appeal Form
(which, I know, doesn’t comply with your short time frame
and doesn’t include the appeal
Fee). But I wanted to show you all the things that are wrong about these notices and fines.
Also, please tell me
Specifically what exactly was the violation and on what date? Without this info, how can I possibly
know what to correct and also whether or not an appeal is warranted. Very Kafka-esque.
