Hi Council Members,
I've previously written in, and want to send another strong endorsement for the allocation of funding to
the South Broad Corridor project.
While I understand that project is a more long term solution, I'd like to make a strong request for a
portion of unallocated funds from item 5j to be used to install rubber, bolt-in speed bumps on Funston
Ave (between Lawton and Broad) in the immediate term.
The traffic that continues to cut the broad/south corner traffic light by zipping down our street (full of little
kids, cyclists, and pedestrians) keeps me up at night as a parent.
My hope is that implementing a low-cost temporary solution will not negate the longer-term benefits of
the project, while ensuring the children of today are safe from vehicular harm.
