RE: Inspection NDA
Goad afternoon Mattie,
Thank you for speaking with me. Thank you for understanding the secure nature of the ESA facilities; as we participate in
confidential and classified government projects. And an NDA from a visitor, in many cases, is a requirement of our customer
contracts.
I do understand you would like the City Attorney to review the NDA prior to signing. For any organization, it is our Legal Officer's
preferential practice to request a manager sign the NDA, as it would therefore then apply to employees for future visits. For
your City Department, I expect that would be the Fire Chief, City Manager, City Attorney or the like.
I'm pleased to present to you the attached Nondisclosure Agreement (NDA) for the review, completion and signature within the
yellow sections, in support of facility inspections as a representative from the San Luis Obispo Fire Department.
If you have any questions or requests, please let me know. Thank you for your time.
Respectfully,
Suzzette Sinclair

Thank you,
Question; We are going to rent a conex for outdoors on a temporary basis, so why would we need the building department
involved? This will not be a permanent project. Also, we are reviewing the codes below. The amount of hydrogen is very small.

How much is going to be stored? Please still submit plans through the Building Dept. For Fire, the system has to
comply with California Fire Code Chapters 50, 53, 58, NFPA 2, 55, and 853. 1 don't have a formal summary of the
requirements but some major items include: fire barrier, security, personnel training, protected from vehicles, setback
from public street/alley/lot line depending on quantity stored, equipment and processes are listed or approved,
approved manual or automatic emergency shutoffs, control ignition sources, electrical installed per California
Electrical Code, among other items. Thank you,

Hi Mattie,
It's been a few weeks since you were out here and I wanted to update you with our hydrogen fuel cell project. We decided it
was to expensive to go thru the permit process to do it inside the building. They wanted an architect involved, etc. So we are
thinking of purchasing a steel conex to put outdoors in the parking lot. Would you be able to tell me what the requirements are
for this? Are there any special requirements, permits, etc?
We are in the planning stages but we want to move forward asap but at -so want to make sure we are in compliance with all
regulatory requirements.
Thanks

We currently have this dust collector:

Ryan,
See attached for the SDS fom
As far as safety precautions when trimming laminates, you should always protect yourself from airborne particles. This can be
done with proper ventilation or it is common to use wet trimming systems so that you not only suppress dust but also keep the
blade cool. Along with that, your typical eye protection (when using a saw here, 2 layers of protection is required, glasses and
face shield).
Other things to keep in mind is to not wear fuggy clothing/gloves that could potentially get caught in saw.
Hope this helps,

Hi Brenda,
Attached is the hazardous waste inspection report. I forgot to mention on Tuesday that the addition of the hydrogen
will put the facility into the Hazardous Materials Business Plan program, which you may be aware of from your work at
Lockheed. It requires some paperwork to be submitted through CERS {https //cers.calepa.ca.gov/}. Please go to the
welasite and create an account to start the process when you are a week or two out from bringing the hydrogen on site
and feel free to contact rite with any questions. i am still looking into specific requirements for Chris for the hydrogen
and will get back to him within a few weeks. The best start is to submit an app through the Building department for
modifications to that room. Additionally, please send the SDS for the carbon fiber stock material when you get the
chance. Thank you.

Hi Mattie,
Thank you for coming by yesterday and looking over the storage area. I've attached a ppt with photos and information about the
area. I can take photos and/or get any additional information you need. Also, you had mentioned there being a permitting
process with the building department. Do you have a contact we get in touch with to start that process?
Thank you again,
Chris Weigh
