SUBJECT: Tract 1438 Remaining Landscaping - Tree Planting on
Terraces
Dear Mr. Gazin:
This is to remind you that the tree planting.which is required as
part of the landscaping on Tract 1438 on the terraces on lots 5 and
6 remains to be done. (A portion of sheet 12 of your improvement
plans is attached showing the location of the proposed trees)
The landscaping was postponed in 1990 due to the drought, but you
did a portion of it by using a well. A portion of the bond is being
retained to insure this remaining landscaping. and, since the
drought is over, there should be no reason to further delay the
work.
Building permits will not be allowed on lots 5 or 6 until these
trees are planted.
As indicated on the plan, your landscaper should contact our City
Arborist, Todd Martin (781-7023) to submit details etc prior to
planting. Call Ray Pitt, public works inspector (781-7195) to
coordinate inspection. Please respond with your intended schedule
within 10 days.

Mr. Gazin: I
have reviewed your plans for a residence on a sensitive site at the above address and determined that
it is minor, and is approved subject to the following condition: Colors
and rooting materials shall be chosen to blend with the hillsides, to the approval of the
Community Development Director. Color and material choices shall be submitted prior to
building permit issuance. With
the above condition, the project will not require review by the Architectural Review Commission.
Please submit one set of revised plans for our files by December 16, 1994. My
action is final unless appealed within 10 calendar days of the date of this letter. Anyone may appeal
the action by submitting a letter to the Community Development Department within the time specified.
Appeals will be scheduled for the first available Architectural Review Commission meeting
date. If an appeal is filed, you will be notified by mail of the date and time of the hearing. Keep
in mind that you still need to secure building permits prior to construction. Also note that a building
permit will not be issued for this lot until tree planting required for Tract 1438 is completed (
see enclosed letter from Jerry Kenny). If
