Subject:King Ct and South St. Project 2001059
City Council Members:
As a King Court home owner, I want to raise some concerns about the intersec?on at South St and the planned
Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon project.
That intersec?on is already challenging — especially making a le? turn when heading toward Higuera St — and
I worry the new installa?on could make access harder and less safe for those who live here. It's also worth
no?ng that residents weren't informed about the project ahead of ?me, which meant we had no chance to
share our feedback before plans were set. I believe this violates city policy and requires no?fica?on and
extension of a decision.
I'd like to express my support for the alterna?ve proposal put forward by fellow King Court residents:
Dan See, Wes Thompson, and Tyler LeSage.
Their sugges?ons strike a be?er balance — protec?ng our only point of access while s?ll improving safety for
pedestrians and cyclists.
Thank you for your ?me and for your service to our community.
