Subject:King Court and South Street Intersection.
Honorable Councilmembers,
I am a resident of San Luis Obispo for the last 78 years and an owner/resident of King Court for the last 36 years. The
King Court/South Street intersection is the only way in and out of Parkside and The Villages. I am here to tell you the
intersection is not only difficult but dangerous, especially attempting to turn left. I believe the installation of the
Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon will negatively impact our access, safety, and property values. We were not notified of the
proposed project, and thus not given an opportunity to weigh in with our concerns. I support the modifications
proposed by fellow residents Dan See, Wes Thompson, and Tyler LeSage to better serve our only means of access while
continuing to further enhance pedestrian and cyclist safety.
