Hello!
I live on South Street, across from Meadow Street where the lanes merge heading West on South Street. I
completely support the new changes to increase safety at King Street. I would also love to see a protected bike
lane from the Broad intersection all the way down South street. I ride my bike to work, and would love to see
even more protected bike lanes in SLO. I also support having South street be 1 lane, rather than merging in
front of my house. Cars honk at each other all day every day at that merge, and it’s not safe for drivers or
bicyclists, i’ve even seen multiple accidents at that location over the years due to the quick merge and high
speed. Decreasing the speed on South street would help cars be ready to stop by the time they get to the King
Street intersection.
