Please add us to the list of locals in favor of a STANDARD TRAFFIC SIGNAL at South St and King Ct. Forget those hybrid pedestrian beacons. Our observance is that drivers who understand them are few indeed. We see too many people just drive thru the flashing red lights because they no longer see any pedestrians. They don’t realize that those flashing red lights are STOP signs. Madonna Rd is a prime example. Needless to say, that stretch of South St is too long between Broad St and Higuera St. Cars are used to building up speed. A standard signal is needed. We have lived behind Meadow Park since 1979 and are well familiar with the area. Traffic signals are much safer.
