The question is below with staff’s response shown in italics: 1) Does the LHMP identify new projects that would be added to the Capital Improvement Plan? Potentially; Mitigation Action Number SL27 in Table G-29 of annex G recommends the City create climate resilience hubs by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to protect vulnerable populations during extreme climate events. For instance, if the community desired City operated cooling centers, a CIP project may be needed to make facility improvements. Staff are also currently pursuing grant funds for a potential resilience hub project. Most of the other mitigations have little to no cost or are already identified in current or future CIP projects. Proposed CIP projects over $25,000 would follow the City’s Capital Plan during the FY27-29 budget process unless otherwise directed by Council.
