Greetings Mayor Steward and Council Members:
I support moving forward with this project. I recall this was the plan when the current system went in
(thank you, I've used this street crossing as a cyclist and pedestrian on King, and as a motorist on
South), appreciate its current features, and have learned to work with them for everyone's success. And
I've also seen where the current system is simply beyond the adoption of others. I believe the basics of a
signal's universal simple use will be well suited to the increase of safety for all. I also understand the
concept of using a neighborhood to circumvent a signal's requirement, and feel some will adopt this
workaround, though I believe the numbers will be limited to the few, the anxious, the selfish. Those
already ignore the flashing beacons at South and King...
