Subject:South Street -King Court crossing.
I would support a full crossing conversion at this site. My experience as an owner of a house in The Villages
has been that a protected pedestrian crossing was needed but the current version has drawbacks: the speed
of traffic on South often results in vehicles not observing the flashing lights in time ( fortunately so far no
accidents I am aware of): the random usage of the request stop by pedestrians can result in frequent stop
requests. A full traffic light would allow for cohosting of vehicles and pedestrians/cyclists and would be more
visible and predictable for traffic using South Street.
