(2) Copies all billings related to The Lew Edwards Group and/or its principal employees (Catherine Lew or Lloyd Edwards). Please interpret this request liberally to include, but not be limited to... invoices, billing statements, expense reimbursements. (3) Copies of any emails between city employees and The Lew Edwards Group. If your search finds a substantial or extreme number of emails, please let me know in advance so that I may contemplate the possibility of narrowing my request. The Lew Edwards Group is a political consulting firm that lists your agency as a client on its website: https://lewedwardsgroup.com/about-us/clients/ The requestor is a journalist who works for a nonprofit organization interested in the information contained in these public records. These records are in the public interest and for public benefit, not for commercial benefit. For these reasons, the requestor is asking for an expedited response and a waiver of any fees. The requestor is exercising his preference to not use an online form or database to file this request. The requestor asks for this request to stand on its own; for the request to not be "lumped in" with any other records request made by the same requestor. The requested records in this case are in the public interest. The public is interested in receiving answers to questions related to the conduct of government employees to whom their taxpayer money is entrusted. The public is interested in a transparent government in which public records requests are handled in an appropriate manner. The requestor would prefer for the records to be sent in an electronic format, if possible. Please inform the requestor if any portions of information contained in these records must be redacted. If any part of this request is denied, please respond with all applicable statutes that you believe would disqualify the records from being made public. Please identify any withheld records with reasonable specificity, as required by law. If applicable, please inform me of any appeal procedures that would be made available to me by law. 1 Unless otherwise required by a court or agency of competent jurisdiction, please do not destroy or give up custody of any records described in this request until the period for an appeal has expired. Please acknowledge receipt of this email and respond to this request as soon as reasonably possible, but no later than 10 days as required by law (7922.535). If you have any questions, please respond via email in this thread. Thank you, Adam Herbets Western States Investigative Reporter The Center Square 2
