Arrest for Sexual Assault and Kidnapping

SUSPECT: Angel Munoz Quintana, 29 years old, resident of Nipomo
SUSPECTVEHICLE: zoro Dark GreyToyota Corolla
VICTIMS: TWo adult females
Monday evening, January LB,2o2S, a college-age female reported to San Luis Obispo Police Department that she
had been sexually assaulted over the weekend by a male posing as a rideshare app driver. Through the
investigation, it was determined there was a second female, also college aged, who had contact with the suspect
over the weekend. The second female was not sexually assaulted; however, she was held against her will in the
suspects'vehicle. Both incidents occurred in the neighborhoods adjacent to Cal Poly University.
One of the victims was able to provide a description of the suspect and the vehicle. Through extensive investigation
over a two-day period, detectives were able to identify the suspect as Angel Munoz Quintana, zg-year-old resident
of Nipomo. On Wednesday, January tS,2cl25, at approximately rr:45 am, Munoz Quintana was located and
arrested for the following charges:
PC zo7 - Felony kidnapping (two counts)
PC zg6 - Felony false imprisonment
PC z8Z(cX2XA) - Felony oral copulation by use of force
PC zzo(a)(r) - Felony assault with the intent to commit rape
Angel Munoz Quintana was transported and booked at the San Luis Obispo County Jail with bail set at $r.z million
dollars.
