Subject: California Public Records Act Request – VC 22450(a) Citation Counts at Broad Street & Center Street - February
dates
Pursuant to the California Public Records Act (Government Code § 7920 et seq.), I request records
showing the number of citations issued under California Vehicle Code § 22450(a) (failure to stop at a
stop sign) at or near the intersection of Broad Street and Center Street in the City of San Luis Obispo on
several dates during February 2026 (19th, 20th, and 21st).
Specifically, I request:
1. The total number of VC § 22450(a) citations issued at that intersection on February 19th, 20th, and
21st, 2026.
2. The time of issuance for each citation, if available.
3. Any records identifying the enforcement operation, assignment, or traffic detail responsible for
issuing the citations, if such records exist.
4. Any logs, summaries, or reports that aggregate citation activity at that location on that date.
I am requesting aggregate statistical information only and do not seek personally identifying information
of cited individuals.
Please provide the records in electronic format (PDF, CSV, Excel, or other readily available electronic
format). If any portion of this request is exempt from disclosure, please provide all reasonably segregable
non-exempt portions and identify the legal basis for any withholding.
Please also let me know if a fee is required to fulfill this request and how to reimburse the city.
