Measure G-20: City of San Luis Obispo Community Services/Investment
Shall an ordinance to provide funding to protect City of San Luis Obispo’s financial stability;
maintain fire/community safety, health emergency/disaster preparedness; protect creeks from
pollution; address homelessness; keep public areas clean/safe; retain local businesses; maintain
youth/senior services, streets, open space/natural areas, and other general services, by extending
voter-approved funding at a 1.5¢ rate, providing approximately $21,600,000 annually until ended
by voters; requiring audits/all funds used locally, be adopted?

Measure G-20 Information
✓ Measure G-20 would provide local funding for San
Luis Obispo’s priorities as identified by the public
following an extensive public outreach process.
For more information on those priorities, visit

✓ Measure G-20 funds must be used for and by the
City of San Luis Obispo. No funds could be taken
by the County or State.
✓ Measure G-20 does not apply to food purchased as
groceries or prescription medications.
✓ Measure G-20 is not a tax on your home or
property.
✓ Historically, 70% of sales tax dollars collected in
San Luis Obispo come from tourists and visitors.
City of San Luis Obispo Election
✓ San Luis Obispo has two council and one
mayor seat up for election on November 3,
2020.
✓ San Luis Obispo’s City Council is made
up of four Councilmembers and a Mayor
elected by all of the City of San Luis
Obispo’s voters.

All registered voters should have received a Vote by Mail ballot by mail. If you did not
receive your mailed ballot, contact County Elections at the website below. Vote by Mail
Ballots can be returned in multiple ways:
✓ Mailed via United States Postal Service no postage required.
✓ Delivered to secure VBM Ballot Drop Boxes
✓ Delivered to a Voter Service Center between October 31 and November 3
