will include new changes to how you receive your ballot,
and where and how you can vote. Please participate!
Here’s how:
VOTE BY MAIL (VBM)
• Vote by Mail (VBM) ballots must be postmarked
by Election Day, November 3 and received no later
than 17 days after Election Day to be counted.
• You may also drop off your ballot at any Ballot
Drop Box or Vote Center in the County.
CONDITIONAL (SAME DAY)
REGISTRATION AND IN PERSON VOTING: • If you missed the October 19, 2020 voter
registration deadline, a recent state law allows you
to conditionally register to vote and vote until 8:00
p.m. on Election Day at your County Elections
Office or at any Vote Center in the County.
• You may also vote in person at any Vote Center in
the County. To see a list of Vote Centers in and
around Milpitas, visit sccvote.org.

• Measure F is the only local measure on your ballot.
• Measure F would cost 1 cent for every $4 purchase made in Milpitas.
• Food purchased as groceries and prescription medication would not be subject to Measure F.
• According to city reports, half of Measure F would be paid by visitors to Milpitas.
In addition to Measure F, Milpitas voters will be considering candidates for Mayor and 2 at-large City Council seats.*

City of Milpitas Public Services Measure To provide funding to maintain the City’s finances and services,
including: police and fire protection, 9-1-1 emergency response, and natural disaster preparation; youth,
senior, and recreation services; repairing park equipment and maintaining parks and recreation centers; and
attracting and retaining local businesses; shall the measure, establishing a 1/4¢ sales tax, providing approx-
imately $6,500,000 annually for 8 years, requiring independent audits, citizens’ oversight committee, all
funds spent locally, be adopted?
