Inspection Notes:Note: SLO FD met property maintenance at Old SLO BBQ Company, 3870 Broad Street on 1/6/2026 to add updated key to Knox box. The following items were evaluated and found to be corrected during this inspection: 1) Provide signage for the fire sprinkler riser room and provide updated key(s) for the Knox-box. See comments noted below. ***Update: A master key to all the fire riser rooms in the Marigold Shopping Center was added to the Knox-box adjacent to Old SLO BBQ at 3870 Broad on 1/6/26. Signage was added on the fire sprinkler riser room door. *** Violations Code Description Comments Reinspection Date Repaired Date 509.1 Identification. Fire protection equipment shall be identified in an approved manner. Rooms containing controls for air- conditioning systems or fire protection systems shall be identified for the use of the fire department. Note: Unable to access the fire sprinkler riser room during inspection due to outdated key(s). The building owner shall be responsible to maintain the fire and life safety systems in an operable condition at all times. Service personnel shall meet the qualification requirements of NFPA 72 for inspection, testing and maintenance of such systems. Records of inspection, testing and maintenance shall be maintained. Note: Per City records, a fire alarm inspection was last conducted for this property on 03/23/2023, License No. 561308 and is due for an annual inspection. Property management is directed to coordinate annual inspection of the fire alarm system for this property. Upon completion of testing, fire alarm contractor is required to upload this inspection report to The Compliance Engine website (CFC 907.8.4). 11/20/2025 606.3.3.2 Grease accumulation. If during the inspection it is found that hoods, grease- removal devices, fans, ducts or other appurtenances have an accumulation of grease, such components shall be cleaned in accordance with ANSI/IKECA C10. Excess grease accumulation was found along the frame of BBQ appliances (x2). Extension cords shall not be a substitute for permanent wiring and shall be listed and labeled in accordance with UL 817. Extension cords shall not be affixed to structures, extended through walls, ceilings or floors, or under doors or floor coverings, nor shall such cords be subject to environmental damage or physical impact.
