Higuera Complete Streets Project Update
•Major impacts not seen right away
•Residents and businesses will be notified as work
progresses
MOBILIZATION – AUGUST 24
•Utility Potholing - Curb Ramps → Paving → Striping
& Final Improvements
•Work will move along the corridor in phases
WORK PROGRESSES IN PHASES
•Temporary lane, bike lane & sidewalk closures
•Driveway and business access maintained
•Daytime disruption will be limited when possible

Oak Tree at the New SLO Repertory Theatre Site
Volunteer arborists and City staff worked to irrigate and root prune the large oak tree at the site of the
new San Luis Obispo Repertory Theatre on Thursday, August 13th in effort to save the tree this fall

Welcome Back Students! Cuesta, CP & SLCUSD
•Cuesta College – 1st day of classes Monday, August 17th
•CP Housing Move-In for first year students – Tuesday, August
18 & Wednesday. August 19
•WOW begins – August 19, fireworks show at Spanos Stadium
at approximately 8pm and 9pm
•CP Housing – move in continues through the weekend
•Safety Enhancement Zone – August 18 – August 31
•San Luis Coastal Unified School District – school starts August 20th
•WOW Downtown – 5000 WOWies will be coming to Mission Plaza and Farmers' Market
