Hello,
I am researching the case involving Albert Jason Lucas II, who was arrested on November 5, 2024, in San Luis
Obispo, California. I am requesting body worn camera and/or dashcam footage for the following case:

Higuera, San Luis Obispo, CA
Incident details: On Tuesday, November 5, 2024, the San Luis Obispo Police Department received a report of
a female suffering from facial injuries in the area of Prado and Higuera. The investigation determined that the
woman had allegedly been severely beaten by her boyfriend, Albert Jason Lucas II, 53, a transient of San Luis
Obispo. Lucas reportedly fled the area before officers arrived. The victim was transported by ambulance to a
local hospital for treatment.
Officers searched the surrounding area and located Lucas near Elks and Prado, where he was taken into
custody without incident. Lucas was reportedly in possession of evidence related to the assault, which
allegedly occurred at a transient encampment near the creek behind the 3100 block of S. Higuera.
Lucas was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail on multiple felony charges, including domestic
violence with a prior domestic violence conviction, torture causing great bodily injury, assault with a deadly
weapon, violation of a domestic violence restraining order with a prior conviction, domestic violence during the
commission of a felony, terrorist threats, probation violation/hold, and misdemeanor possession of a controlled
substance.
On November 7, 2024, San Luis Obispo Police Department detectives consulted with the San Luis Obispo
County District Attorney's Office, after which Lucas was arraigned on additional felony charges of attempted
murder, dissuading a witness by force or threat, and false imprisonment.
