Farmers’ Market
The Visitor Center attended a very special
Farmers’ Market on August 20 as over
6,000 Cal Poly students visited as a part of
the schedule for the Week of Welcome
program. We were able to talk to students
and a couple parents about settling into
the community with restaurant
recommendations, suggestions for
transportation around town, and our
event calendar to stay informed about
things going on such as game nights and
concerts.
“You were the one that gave the presentation during
orientation last month. That was so helpful! ”
A couple from Huntington Beach who had just
moved in their daughter into the dorms that
recognized Brianna from the Cal Poly SLO Days
presentation given in July. They were excited about
their next trip to SLO that is booked in October to
explore our wine country. We were able to
recommend several Edna Valley wineries such as
Claiborne and Churchill, Baileyana, and Sextant.
