SUBJECT: ITEM #7b – AMENDMENT TO COUNCIL’S POLICIES AND
PROCEDURES CHAPTER 5 AND CHAPTER 7
Staff received the following proposed revisions (in red) to Section5.3.4.1 and Section
7.3.2.3 from Council Members. Staff concurs with the changes and recommend that they
be included in any final action:
5.3.4.1 In the case of a Grand Jury report received by an elected official
prior to the public release, the elected official shall discuss with the
City Manager, City Attorney, or a Grand Jury designee before
distributing further.
7.3.2.3 Any oral or written information marked as designated as
“Confidential” pursuant to relevant legal statutory authority received
by virtue of your a Council Member’s position with the City.
