We would also like this letter to be placed in the City's Correspondence File. Thank you! To: San Luis Obispo City Council & San Luis Obispo Planning Commission Re: October 14, 2026 Planning Commission review of the General Plan Conformity Report for the Transfer of Property at 1334 and 1144 Monterey Street from the County of San Luis Obispo to the State of California for development both Courthouse Project and the October 19, 2026 Architectural Review Commission review of the Courthouse Project . From: Allan Cooper, Secretary Save Our Downtown Date: October 10, 2026 Honorable Mayor and Council Members -  Save Our Downtown would like some clarification on how the public will be able to comment on the new County Courthouse Project. SLO County gave the public a 30 day review period ending June 13, 2025. There was no notice of this review period at any prior SLO City Council meeting and of course this deadline has long passed. On September 26, 2026 a planning permit was pulled for this project. Then we were informed that the SLO City Council had scheduled a public hearing on this project on October 6, 2026. Of course this did not happen. Which brings us to the October 14, 2026 Planning Commission review of the project for General Plan conformity. This item was placed on their consent agenda. By searching the internet we found that there may be an Architectural Review Commission meeting to review this project on Monday, October 19, 2026. But there has been no formal announcement of this meeting. Can you confirm that this meeting will indeed take place? If not, we would be very concerned that the public would have no opportunity to provide input on the proposed building’s height (i.e., 80 ft.?) along with any other relevant design issues that might come up for discussion. Thank you!
