Thank you, Brian Ackerman 1 October 12, 2026    Subject: October 14 Planning Commission Hearing ‐ General Plan Conformance, 1134 & 1144 Monterey  Street  Dear Chair and Members of the Planning Commission,  I am the owner of property directly adjacent to the proposed New San Luis Obispo Courthouse site at  1134 and 1144 Monterey Street.  I support the proposed transfer to the Judicial Council and respectfully support a finding that the  location, purpose, and extent of the new courthouse conform with the City's General Plan. A modern  courthouse is an important public facility for San Luis Obispo, and this is a meaningful step toward its  delivery.  For approximately 20 years, I have worked as an owner's representative and project manager on major  redevelopment and construction projects in California and throughout the United States. My experience  includes public‐agency coordination, entitlements, occupied‐site construction, project schedules,  budgets, design, and construction delivery. I offer this perspective as a constructive neighboring owner  who wants to see the project succeed.  As the project moves through design, procurement, and construction, I encourage continued close  coordination among the City, County, Judicial Council, neighboring property owners, and downtown  businesses. In particular, clear and early communication regarding construction staging, truck routing,  temporary street or sidewalk changes, pedestrian and bicycle safety, utilities, parking, and access to  nearby properties will be important to maintaining a safe and active downtown environment during  construction.  Please know that I am supportive of the project and am available to help where my experience may be  useful as it moves forward.  Thank you for your consideration.  Respectfully,  Brian Ackerman  959 Toro Street  San Luis Obispo, CA 93401
