Palm Nipomo Parking Structure Direction
Construction Cost Estimate Correction
Councilmember Carter sent staff an email seeking clarification on the estimated $12 million
Palm Nipomo parking structure cost identified on Page B2-6 of the staff report. The correct
estimate should be $20 million. This is the amount the 2009 Parking Task Force and 2011
Parking Fund Review have utilized to estimate changes in the Parking Fund working capital. As
part of the current design contract for the parking structure project, the consultant will prepare an
updated "estimate of project costs for construction and structure maintenance /operation of the
preferred design far the Architectural Review Commission and Council consideration.
