(1996 Series) A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO DENTING AMENDMENTS TO THE GENERAL PLAN LAND USE ELEMENT AND OPEN SPACE ELEMENT MAPS, THE ZONING MAP, AND THE LAND USE ELEMENT TEXT TO ALLOW DEVELOPMENT OF A 1.6-ACRE SITE ON CALLE JOAQUIN, SOUTH OF LOS OSOS VALLEY ROAD (GP/R 7-96) WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and the City Council have held public hearings in accordance with the California Government Code and Municipal Code Chapter 17.62 to consider amending the General Plan Land Use Element map from Open Space to Tourist Commercial for a 1.6-acre site, and to consider amending the General Plan Open Space Element Greenbelt map to remove the site from "greenbelt" status, and to consider amending the General Plan Land Use Element text to allow further development in the Calle Joaquin Hillside Planning Area (GP/R 7-96); and WHEREAS, the City Council has also considered the applicant's request to waive his application fees; and WHEREAS, the potential environmental impacts of the proposed General Plan and Zoning amendments (GP/R 7-96) have been evaluated in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act and the City's Environmental Guidelines in initial study ER 7-96; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of San Luis Obispo has considered all information presented to it and hereby denies the General Plan and zoning amendments(GP/R 7-96) along with the applicant's request for a waiver of processing fees paid to date.
