SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT RECOMMENDATIONS TO
THE PERSONNEL BOARD
RECOMMENDATION
Reappoint Marcy Villa to a four-year term ending 3/31/2002, appoint Michael Harkness to a three-
year term ending 3/31/2001, and thank Dann Torrance for his service to the board.
DISCUSSION:
Two terms expire on March 31, 1998 on the Personnel Board. Dann Torrance,who has served long
and faithfully, was not eligible for reappontment having served on the board since July, 1989. We
thank him for his service.
The other term expiring is that of Marcy Villa. Ms. Villa is interested in continuing to serve, and
the subcommittee recommends her reappointment to a four-year term ending on 3/31/2002.
After interviewing two applicants on March 12'e, the subcommittee recommends the appointment
of Michael Harkness to a four-year term ending on 3/31/2002.
Mr.Harkness' application is attached.
