HomeMy WebLinkAbout03/16/1999, A6 - APPOINTMENT RECOMMENDATION TO MASS TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE counat • j agcnaa Report hem CITY OF SAN LUIS 10 W2 S P O FROM: Council Members Jand Ken Council Liaison Su mmittee to the s ransportation Committee Prepared By: Sherry Stendahl, Council Secretary SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT RECOMMENDATION TO MASS TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION Make the following appointments: • Reappoint Randell LaVack as Member-at-Large to a four year term to end 3/31/03 • Appoint Paul Dahan as Sr. Citizen Representative to a three year term to end 3/31/02 • Appoint Jennifer Allen-Barker as Disabled Representative to a four year term to end 3/31/03 • Appoint Orval Osborne as Business Representative to a three year term to end 3/31/02 DISCUSSION Two vacancies currently exist for the disabled and senior citizen representatives. The term for the business representative position will expire 3/31/99. In addition, staff notes that the reappointment of member-at-large Randell LaVack was inadvertently overlooked and is therefore recommended for a four year term at this time. After advertising and interviewing all applicants, the Council Subcommittee is pleased to make the recommendations as listed above. These appointments will bring the MTC membership to a full complement. Copies of nominee applications are attached. All others are available for review in the City Clerk's Office.
