SUBJECT: Appointment Recommendations to the Joint Recreational Use
of School District Property Committee (JUC)
RECOMMENDATION
Make the following appointments:
• Reappoint Lary Smyth to a two-year term to expire 3/31/02
• Reappoint Debbie Black as the Parks &Recreation Commission Representative
to a four-year term to expire 3/31/04
• Appoint Jane Godfrey to a three-year unexpired term to begin immediately, ending
3/31/03
DISCUSSION
Three positions must be filled on the JUC. One seat is vacant due to the resignation of Dennis
Cox, and two terms will expire on 3/31/00. After advertising and interviewing candidates,the
Council Subcommittee is pleased to make the recommendations as listed above. Nominee
applications are attached; all others are available in the City Clerk's Office for review.
