As a member of the recycle committee at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center this is a move we pushed for and just recently achieved. I recognize that other choices cost a business slightly more but it is a modest expense compared to the environmental harms of Styrofoam. Just yesterday I enjoyed lunch at one of our very successful delis and all of their beverages are served in Styrofoam. I cringed! Please continue with the positive changes San Luis Obispo has made in our community; smoking bans, plastic bag ban, and no drive through, none were embraced by all but the vast majority of our residents and visitors reap the rewards of the decisions the Council has made. Thank you for your dedication, Dana Justesen Trexler
