Additionally, I encourage you to work with Chevron to find a tenable solution regarding the economics of the proposed redevelopment. As I used to work for Chevron, I am well aware that this piece of property is one of the most intensively studied pieces of land in this zip code, and decades of environmental studies and years of consideration by experts representing Unocal, Chevron, the state of California, the county of San Luis Obispo and our fair city have led to the formation of these documents. This is an important and necessary milestone for this land; Chevron has demonstrated their commitment to remediate the property and I know they are poised to act. I urge you to continue to work with Chevron to find creative solutions regarding the financial gap on the economics of the proposed redevelopment on the northeast portion of the property. I reside near the project area and travel Tank Farm Road every day; I am eager to see the proposed infrastructure improvements come to fruition and know that it can't be done without a tenable financial solution. In closing, please adopt the resolution certifying this EIR and please continue to work with Chevron on the Development Agreement to allow a new chapter for this piece of land and this part of our community. Respectfully, yamoff& Palkw <signed>
