City Council and Staff,
Two recommendations:
1. Dramatically accelerate the timetable for widening Tank Farm
Road and improving nearby intersections as needed. I see
another LOVR traffic disaster in the making with the current
proposed plan.
2. Reduce the development part of the project by 238,000 square
feet, the environmentally superior alternative identified in the
FEIR.
The "economic feasability" of this project for Chevron CANNOT
and SHOULD NOT be a higher priority that the environmental
protection of the people of San Luis Obispo. Let's not clean
up one mess only to create another one.
