Subject: Styrofoam ban
Dear City Council,
I would like to express my full support of the proposed Styrofoam ban. I realize that using other materials may cost a
business slightly more but it is a modest expense compared to the environmental harms of Styrofoam. The cost will be
passed on to us, the consumer, and we should gladly accept that and help our deteriorating environment.
Please continue with the positive changes San Luis Obispo has made in our community: smoking bans, plastic bag ban,
and no drive through. None was embraced by all but the vast majority of our residents and visitors reap the rewards of
the decisions the Council has made.
