16 Constituent meeting—Stephen Peck re LUCE
- Council meeting
18 Attend LAFCO meeting as Council liaison. Report from LAFCO staff regarding legislation
regarding Paso Basin and water, and reformation of a Paso Basin Water District.
- Attend the annual Cuesta College Constitution Day celebration
- Attend the Paso Basin Advisory Committee meeting. The Committee voted to recommend to
the BOS that they petition LAFCO to form a Water District (once the authorizing legislation
becomes effective on January 1 2015.) NOTE: there will be a county Water Summit
informational session in the BOS chambers on Tuesday October 14, 1:30-5 pm. I will be
attending as Paso Basin rep from the City.
- Attend CAPSLO Board meeting as Council liaison. Focus in on updating the 5 year Strategic
Plan.
19 Constituent meeting—Carol Greiton re medical marijuana
- Receive update regarding City Hall remodeling project from staff
23 Council meeting
24 Attend the City-Cal Poly Quarterly Lunch. Received WOW week data and reports from Chief
Gesell and Chief Olson as well as from University representatives. Emphasized the
importance of the city’s participation in Cal Poly’s Master Plan update. (Council member
Ashbaugh and city staff currently participates on the committee.)
25 Update on ALUC issues with staff and Mayor Marx as council liaison/rep on airport issues.
26 Monthly update with City Manager
- Attend the iFixit ribbon cutting
30 Special Council meeting
OCTOBER
1 Attend the United Way’s Annual Recognition Event at the Madonna Inn.
2 Paso Basin In-Basin Projects Subcommittee meeting
5 Attend RQN’s Annual Dinner. Cuesta President Gil Stork was the speaker.
