The City once had a beautiful lake, busy with row boats, paddle boats, sail boats and wind surfers. Cal Poly students made good use of the lake as did many others. Fishing was fantastic. There was a council meeting, when Dave Romero said the city had Three Hundred Thousand that the city could spend dredging Laguna Lake as far as they could. He had two land owners with property on the lake that would take the dirt at no cost to the city. The council members voted no. It was a good chance for the city to act on this proposal and see just how dredging the rest of the lake was going to cost. I urge you now that the lake is dry and all of the fish are dead, that you give Laguna Lake your full attention. For flood control it needs to be deeper. Donna LaFreniere
