ple open space around the
airport
What's mare, the city of
San Luis Obispo has a well-
deserved reputation for
stringent development stan-
dards and we don't believe
the city would negligently al-
low rampant development to
impinge can the airport-
in mind, too, that
Yea,Right! City officials have allowed
rampant development to impinge on the
rest of San Luis Obispo. So why would
they treat this area of San Luis Obispo,
any differently ?
limit much of the city's planned growth.
At stake is the development of additional
housing at the southern end of San Luis
Obispo -- something the city says is des-
perately needed.
A four-fifts vote of the City Council is
s • - .. . . . . • .s .. . V -2
Desperately needs ? There is absolutely
no shortage of houses for sale within
the city and .county of San Luis Obispo,
So desperate, city officials are willing
to : Destroy valuable American farmland.
Jeopardize people's safety and quality of
life - by allowing construction in a air-
port flightpath. Jeopardize people's health,
by allowing construction on or near, petro-
leum damaged soil. All of which will lead
to a burden on city resources and quality
of life; for the current population of San
Luis Obispo.
TT Desperately ", a better word would be,
greedy.
