I want to express my concerns about the countywide tourism tax that is being proposed. I was on the original
committee when we approve the SLO city TBID. At that time we agreed to move forward with the self assessed
tax with the understanding that any funding going to the VCB would be paid by TBID assessment.
I would oppose any funding of the countywide tourism tax unless the TBID committee agrees to pay through
our city hotel tax assessment.

Subject: Countywide TMD at SLO City Council
During the City Council Meeting on Monday, November 10, 2014 the SLO City Council will consider a
business item authorizing SLO City participation in the proposed Countywide Tourism Marketing
District with Visit SLO County.
The City Council meeting will be held on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 4:30 pm in the Council
Chamber at City Hall, 990 Palm Street. Other items may be considered before and after this item.
Written comments are welcome and public comments during the meeting are limited to three minutes.
The agenda and staff report is available on the City's website through this link. The Council meeting
will also be televised live on Charter Cable Channel 20. For more information on the meeting, please
contact the City Clerk's office at 805 - 781 -7100.
