LUIS OBISPO Office of the City Council 990 Palm Street, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401 -3249 E jmarx @slocity.org T 805.781.7120 slocity.org From: adam hill [achi1129 @hotmail.com] Sent: Sunday, November 09, 2014 1:29 PM To: Council ALL Subject: Monday's meeting Dear Madame Mayor and Honorable Councilmembers: 1 I I SLO CITY CLERK On Monday's agenda you have the item before regarding John Ashbaugh's comment about closed session during the previous council meeting. While the whole episode was unfortunate, we all know that in the heat of debate, at times our emotions can get the better of our judgment. We are human. We make mistakes. Councilman Ashbaugh has apologized several times for his comment, so please do not blow this out of all proportion. First and foremost our job as elected officials is governance. Any more further political conflict that could derive from the episode would not be in the interest of goverance. Nor would it be in the best interest of the community. Please be gracious and wise in simply accepting John's apology and moving onto the people's business. Thanks for all that you do for our community. My best wishes, Adam COUNCIL MEETING:- l 10 iy ITEM NO.: _ 2 Mejia, Anthony From: adam hill <achi1129 @hotmail.com> Sent: Monday, November 10, 2014 11:06 AM To: Lichtig, Katie; Council_ALL Cc: Mejia, Anthony; Goodwin, Heather Subject: RE: Monday's meeting Thank you. Dan Carpenter already leaked it to his friends at that nasty website so that they could do one of their gratuitous hit pieces filled with innuendo and lies. I am sure it is legal but is it ethical for Councilman Carpenter to do this? Especially after he left two enraged voice mails and one angry email for me yesterday? And he wants John to resign?
