Dear Mayor Marx and council members:
COUNCIL MEETING:_A 1 b n I znl
ITEM NO.: S- Z
NOV 10 2014 DO,
SLO CITY CLERK
Councilman John Ashbaugh's comments at the last council meeting, while unfortunate, did not divulge any
important fact or anything of substance whatsoever that occurred in the preceding closed door session. He has
humbly apologized for his behavior and no harm, financial or otherwise, has come to any individual or to the
city because of what he said. While the matter may not be categorized as a tempest in a teapot, it certainly
should not be turned into a witch hunt, or a legal scuffle that drags on for months or years costing the city time,
money and energy.
End the matter tonight with an expression of "disapproval," or whichever term you deem appropriate, and move
on to the matters of far greater importance that prompted the heated debate in the first place.
Bill and Sandy Rumbler
