Subject: Rental Inspection Program
Members of SLO City Council:
It seems to me that the Rental Inspection Program up for consideration by council is a very good idea.
As a resident of the Slack Tract section of Monterey Heights, I see far too many houses in my neighborhood crowded
with students and falling into disrepair, while others are being bought up by the Omkar Corporation and converted into
student - proof, family - unfriendly rentals by Stalwork Contractors at a truly frightening rate. The proposed program
would deal well with the overfilled and deteriorating houses, and would at least acknowledge the Omkar houses as
businesses and tax them appropriately.
I urge you to pass and enforce the Rental Inspection Program,
Thanks for your consideration,
Eve Neuhaus
