maintain plan review times
Train and maintain a reliable team that can address
customer needs
Prepare for future estimated workload
Factors
Development activity has exceeded
forecasts
Outside firms have struggled to keep up with
the City’s cycle times
In-house review speeds up processing and
provides a more accessible, local touch for
customers
Offering temporary and part-time positions
has failed to keep qualified applicants to the
City and does not plan for natural employee
turnover

Offset by increase in revenue from high permit
activity
Will not impact the General Fund projections
