Goal Statement
Open Space:
Protect and maintain open space.
Multi -Modal Transportation:
Prioritize inudenientation of the bicycle rnaster 121an and itraprove and maintain laic cy le.
pedestrian, and transit facilities.
Housing:
Implement the Housing Element, facilitating workforce, affordable, supportive and
transitional housing options, including support for needed infrastructure within the City's
fair share.
Neighborhood Wellness:
Improve neighborhood wellness, work with residents, Cuesta, and Cal Poly; increase public
saj'ety, code compliance, and collaborative .solutions.
Laguna Lake Restoration:
Initiate implemention of the Laguna Lake Natural Reserve Conservation Plan.
Fiscal Sustainability and Responsibility:
Implement the City's Fiscal Responsibility Philosophy with a focus on the reduction of
unfunded liabilities.
Downtown:
Adopt a Downtown Concept Plan, develop a plan for expansion of Mission Plaza, and
improve safet , iinfrastructure, and maintenance in the Downtown.
Parks and Recreation:
Update the Parks and Recreation Element, create Master Plan, maintain and improve
current park facilities, and update recreational programs.
Climate Action Plan:
Implement the Climate Action Plan, including advocating a regional feasibility study
regarding establishment of Community Choice Aggregation (CCA).
Deferred Infrastructure Maintenance:
Address deferred maintenance of key city infrastructure.
