Inc. 3620 Sacramento Dr. #102 888.781.9378 www.digitalwest.com San Luis Obispo, CA 93401 805.781.9379 February 17, 2015 Our City is known in the developer space as 'not an easy area to build'. In light of this, our city staff has worked hard to streamline the permitting process, create consistency in expectations and devote time to our General Plan updates, including the LUCE process. There's still room for improvement, but we've seen success in these attempts. The proposed redevelopment on Monterey is an example of all the right moves by our City, with the citizens creating the hurdle. Civic engagement by our citizens is a good thing, but allowing it to take our successes down a rabbit hole doesn't benefit our city. This project is an example of meeting a need (not enough rooms for SLO -bound tourists), adding tax revenue (more TOT), fitting into the City's plan (correct zoning, fits within the size, height, parking and density rules), limiting sprawl (infill as designed), and meeting with and taking recommendations from the project's neighbors (leading to modifications in lighting, balcony access, etc). We don't have many opportunities that allow us to check off this many boxes. Please honor the work that our previous planning commissions, councils, volunteers and staff have put into the planning of our community and vote to allow this project to be completed as planned. Thank you for your service and consideration, Tim Williams Resident and Business Owner San Luis Obispo, CA Connectivity . Colocation Cloud
