Security Deposit Assistance Again Offered In the City

The Tenant Based Rental Assistance (TBRA) Program is again being offered in the City
of Santa Maria. TBRA provides security deposit assistance through Qualified Referring
Agencies (QRA) to low- income households. The assistance is in the form of a grant for
up to 50 percent of the required security deposit to assist with overcoming obstacles in
obtaining permanent housing.
In order to access the program, participants must apply for assistance through a
Qualified Referring Agency (QRA). Eligible participants are individuals whose income is
at 60 percent or less of area median income by household size as determined by HUD
below:
