On a 3-2 vote, the Board declined the request, pending an effort to help resolve the Dalidio property issue through a new subcommittee effort that includes Board members. Supervisors Peg Pinard and Katcho Achadjian were designated to represent the County. The meetings will not be open,to the public, since as a practical matter it would be nearly impossible to have a productive discussion in such an environment, given the extensive, diverse, and emotional interest in this property. On the other hand, no decisions will be made through this process. Instead, the purpose of the meetings shall only be to explore options that will later be fully reviewed, discussed and decided publicly. The Dalidio Subcommittee strongly believes that we should accept the invitation to meet with board members and the Dalidio team, but wishes to confirm this with the balance of the Council. Pending the Council's endorsement of this process, the meeting has been tentatively set for Tuesday, September 29`'.
