In the area of fiscal concerns, the Commission approved an upgrade to ticketing software at a cost not to exceed $20,329 and directed the Finance Committee to develop a policy setting a 10% cap for the operating reserve balance, based on a recommendation from Bill Statler. The Commission also asked the Finance Committee to develop a policy on the timing of payments of partners' shares of the operating subsidy. Both of these policies will return to the Commission for final approval at a future meeting. The current slate of officers was re-elected for 2004: Wendy George, Chair; John Dunn, Vice-chair; Larry Kelley, Secretary; Frank Mumford, Treasurer. The Acoustics Improvements Ad Hoc Committee reported that there were still a number of unresolved issues relating to the first submittal of the schematic design for the acoustic projects currently scheduled for construction in the summer of 2005. These projects include the canopy (formerly called the "clouds"), hanging velours, placement of felt or other sound absorbing materials on some walls and new speaker clusters. Once the Committee is comfortable with the schematic design, it will come to the Commis-siioon for approval, either in 1 to December or early January.
