Other reported items of interest include: • The near completion of a remodel to the former"chiller room" to provide much needed storage and a small workshop. • The acquisition, at almost no cost, of a computer-controlled moving light system salvaged from the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas. • The installation of the monument name sign in front of the building by Christmas. • The receipt of the 90% construction documents for the acoustics project(bidding to occur in January and construction in the summer of 2005). • The installation of the organ, donated by Bert and Candy Forbes, starting in the summer of 2006, with tuning occurring over the next year. • The installation of equipment in the Pavilion to make it more user friendly for small productions. • Holding the Chamber of Commerce UCSB Economic Forecast at the PAC on Friday, November 5, a first for the PAC. Commissioners approved the 2004-05 budget, which includes the addition of funding for part-time technical support for the new ticketing software, and for projected salary increases for three PAC employees who have not received raises in several years. The final item of discussion concerned concepts for the PAC's 10`h anniversary celebration. The actual anniversary date is September 27, 2006. There was general consensus that there should be a celebration,.similar to the opening celebration, around the actual date, followed by recognition over the next year and culminating with the first organ recital in 2007.
